The year is 1942. Two men with a technicolor movie camera board a boat in Lewiston, Idaho. Their mission is to document America's most dangerous mail route and the lives of homesteaders and ranchers who receive their mail and supplies at deserted beaches along Snake River, the border between Idaho on the east and Washington and Oregon on the west.

Join us for a journey deep into Hells Canyon of the Snake River - America's deepest gorge. Meet the women and men who eked out a living along the isolated creeks tumbling into the Snake River. Hear their stories of hard work and hard times. Feel their enduring love of the Canyon and a way of life.
